I came to Loyola Marymount University in 1988 as Assistant Dean for Housing. I served as Associate Dean of Student Affairs, Dean of Student Services, and then Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs until 2005. I began teaching part-time in the School of Education in 1998. In 2005, I was appointed Associate Dean of the School of Education. During my tenure in Student Affairs I worked with student housing, orientation, judicial affairs, career development services, student health, psychological services, athletics, budget, facilities, assessment, and planning. In 2005 I was awarded Advisor of the Year for my work with LMU Special Games. I served in various leadership positions in JASPA and was awarded the Ignatian Medal for Outstanding Service twice. After seven years serving as Associate Dean of the School of Education, I am very happily going to the faculty full-time. I will continue to serve as chair of the Department of Educational Leadership. I earned a B.A. in Linguistics and M.A. in Counseling from Western Michigan University. I hold a Ph.D. from Oregon State University in Higher Education Administration.

Jennifer Mussi Nolan currently serves as Assistant University Secretary in the Office of the University Secretary and Office of the President at Fordham University. Since joining the administrative staff at Fordham University in 2000, Jennifer worked in a variety of roles in Student Affairs and Mission and Ministry, but primarily supervised student activities, leadership development, new student orientation, commuter student services and campus center operations for over ten years. Jennifer earned a B.A. from Fordham University, a M.A. in Higher Education Administration from New York University and a Ph. D. in Church and Non Public School Leadership from Fordham University. Her dissertation titled, “Does Mission Matter? An Exploration of the Relationship Between Jesuit Mission and the New Student Affairs Professional” received the 2009 Outstanding Research Award from JASPA. Jennifer was a committee chair on the host committee for the JASPA 2005 Summer Institute and a former trustee for Xavier High School in New York City. She is currently an adjunct instructor in the Fordham University Graduate School of Education and member of the accreditation board for the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens Catholic Schools in New York City.
