Matthew Duncan began his professional career in student development in 1997 at Santa Clara University. He first served as a resident director and then transitioned into the Office of Student Life in 1999 where he has worked as an assistant dean and now as the Associate Dean for Student Life. His tenure also includes serving in the role of Interim Director of Residence Life on two different occasions. Matthew is responsible for the Office of Student Life which addresses student welfare, climate, and judicial matters and also oversees the Wellness Center and Disabilities Resources. Matthew earned his bachelor’s degree at Santa Clara University and his master’s degree from the University of North Texas. Prior to beginning his career in student development Matthew taught and was an assistant principal at Dallas Jesuit College Preparatory School.
Co-Chair: Dorothy Wenzel, Ph.D.
Fordham University (Lincoln Center)
Dr. Dorothy Wenzel has worked professionally in student affairs at Fordham University's Lincoln Center Campus since 2004. She currently serves as the Director of the Office of Student Leadership and Community Development which oversees student clubs and organizations, leadership development training, commuter student services, new student orientation, wellness, and alcohol and other drug education. She is also an adjunct professor in the Gabelli School of Business teaching courses on leadership and management. Dr. Wenzel earned her bachelor of arts degree from Loyola University in Maryland and her master of arts degree from New York University in higher education administration. Her doctoral degree is from Fordham University's Graduate School of Education with her research focusing on Catholic higher education and the supervision experiences of mid-level student affairs leaders.
